Subscription Plans

Mafflle has two plans you can choose from when you start: Starter and Growth. Both give you a full-featured store, and neither charges you anything to get going. This guide walks through what each plan includes, how the free trial works, what happens when it ends, and how billing, upgrades, and cancellations work.

The Two Plans

New stores can pick between Starter and Growth. Here’s what each one gives you.

Starter: ₦2,000/month

For stores just getting started.

  • Accept payments with Paystack (cards, bank transfer, Apple Pay, USSD)
  • Accept pay on delivery
  • Record offline orders
  • Invoice and receipt generation

Growth: ₦5,000/month

For stores ready to sell more.

  • Up to 200 products
  • Up to 10 images per product
  • Free yourstore.mafflle.store website link
  • Everything in Starter, plus:
  • Advanced analytics
  • Your own custom domain, like mydomain.com
  • Priority customer support

The Free Trial

Every new store gets a 7-day free trial. It’s genuinely free: no card, no payment, no signup fee.

Here’s the part most people don’t expect: you choose the plan during your trial, and you get that plan’s full features for the whole 7 days.

  • Pick Starter for your trial and you get Starter’s limits for free.
  • Pick Growth for your trial and you get Growth’s limits (200 products, 10 images, custom domains) for free.

The plan selection screen walks you through this, and the Growth plan is marked Recommended. You won’t be charged anything during the trial, and you can cancel any time.

During the trial:

  • Your storefront is live
  • You can add products
  • Customers can place orders
  • You can take payments

Use the trial to build your store and make your first few sales. You’ll get reminder emails before it ends, so you won’t be caught by surprise. Whatever you do with the trial, nothing is charged until you subscribe.

What Happens When the Trial Ends

If you don’t subscribe before the trial ends, here’s what happens, step by step:

  1. You get a 3-day grace period.
  2. During the grace period, your storefront stays up and customers can still buy.
  3. After the grace period, your storefront is blocked until you subscribe.

Your data is safe the whole time. Products, orders, customers, and settings are all preserved. Nothing gets deleted. Your store just stops taking orders until you pick a plan.

The same applies if you’re on a paid plan and a payment doesn’t go through: you get the 3-day grace period, then the store is blocked. As soon as the payment is sorted, your store is back.

Billing

  • Plans are billed monthly.
  • Payments are processed through Paystack, the same payment system your customers use.
  • You get a receipt by email after each payment.
  • Manage your subscription in Settings → Billing.

Upgrading

You can move from Starter to Growth any time.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Choose the upgrade option.
  3. Complete the payment.

The upgrade applies immediately. You get the new limits (more products, more images, custom domains) right away.

Cancelling

You can cancel whenever you want.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Choose to cancel your subscription.
  3. Your store keeps working until the end of the current billing period you already paid for.
  4. After that, it stops renewing, and once the period and grace days pass, the store is blocked.

Cancelling doesn’t delete your store. You can restart your subscription later and pick up where you left off.

A Note on Plans You Might Have Heard Of

You may come across an older plan called Founding Merchant at ₦4,000/month. That plan isn’t offered to new stores anymore, so it won’t appear in your billing choices. If you were already on it, you keep it, but new stores pick between Starter and Growth.

Which Plan Should You Pick?

Start with Starter if you’re testing things out, have fewer than 20 products, and just want your store live. You can upgrade any time, so there’s no risk in starting small.

Go for Growth if you have a bigger catalogue, want more than 3 photos per product, or want your own domain like mydomain.com instead of the Mafflle link.
