Creating Your Store

Your store is your online storefront. It’s the page customers open to browse and buy your products, so this guide covers everything that goes into setting it up and making it feel like yours.

Create Your Store

Right after you register, Mafflle walks you through creating your store. You’ll enter:

  • Business name - The name customers see on your storefront, receipts, and emails. It doesn’t have to match your legal name; pick the name you want to sell under. It has to be at least 3 characters.
  • Storefront link - The web address for your store. For example, yourstore.mafflle.store.
  • Business category - What you sell, like fashion, food, or beauty. This helps you get the right plan and suggestions.
  • Store description - A sentence or two about your business. Customers see this on your storefront, so write something that tells them what you offer. It’s optional and can be up to 500 characters.
  • Logo - Your store logo. It’s optional here; you can add or change it anytime in Settings → General.

None of this costs anything. You’re not asked for a card during store creation.

Your storefront link is the address customers type to visit your store, like yourstore.mafflle.store. It’s the heart of your store’s address, so it’s worth getting right.

The rules are simple:

  • Must be unique across all Mafflle stores, so no two stores share an address
  • 3 to 30 characters long
  • Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only (no spaces, no capital letters, no symbols)
  • Can’t be a reserved word like app, admin, or www

Pick something short and easy to remember. Short links are easier to share on WhatsApp and Instagram. “Bags by Mide” could become bagsbymide, which is short, memorable, and easy to type.

You can change the link later in Settings → General. One heads-up: the moment you change it, the old link stops working. Customers who saved the old address won’t be able to reach you, so tell them before you switch.

Customize Your Store

After your store is created, make it yours in Settings → General. This is where your store stops looking like a template and starts looking like your business:

  • Store logo - Shown on your storefront and in emails you send to customers. JPG or PNG works best.
  • Cover image - The banner across the top of your storefront. Use something that represents your business, like a photo of your products or a shot of your shop.
  • Brand color - The color for buttons and accents on your storefront. Pick a color that matches your brand; it’s what customers click.
  • Store description - A short summary of your business, shown to visitors.
  • Support email - Where customers can reach you with questions. This is different from your account email.
  • Physical address - Your business location, shown on your storefront.

Take a minute on the cover image and brand color. They’re the first thing customers see, and they set the tone before anyone reads a word.

Add your social media profiles so customers can find you outside your store:

  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • X (Twitter)
  • Facebook

These appear as buttons in your storefront footer. If you sell on Instagram or WhatsApp, this is how a stranger who finds your store checks that you’re real.

Once the basics are done, set up the parts that let you actually sell and deliver:

Onboarding Checklist

The dashboard tracks your setup progress so you always know what’s left:

  1. Account created - Done when you register
  2. Store created - Done when you create your store
  3. Product added - Done when you add your first product
  4. Plan selected - Done when you subscribe

You’ll be guided through these in order. Once your store exists, the next step is Adding Products.
