Getting Started

Welcome to Mafflle Stores. This guide gets your store up and running from scratch. You can finish the whole thing in about five minutes, and you won’t need any technical skills to do it.

What You’ll Need

Before you start, make sure you have these:

  • An email address or phone number
  • Your business name
  • Products to sell, with photos
  • A bank account for receiving payments

1. Create Your Account

Open mafflle.store on your phone or computer and click Register.

You’ll be asked for three things:

  • Your email address or phone number
  • A password you can remember
  • Your business name

That’s it. No card, no payment, no fees. Once you’re in, Mafflle walks you through the rest step by step, so you don’t have to guess what to do next.

2. Create Your Store

After you register, Mafflle walks you through setting up your store. This is the part where you decide how your store looks and how customers will find it. You won’t be asked for a card or any payment here.

You’ll enter:

  • Business name - The name customers see on your storefront and receipts
  • Storefront link - The web address for your store, like yourstore.mafflle.store
  • Business category - What you sell (fashion, food, beauty, and more)
  • Store description - A sentence or two about your business (optional, you can add it later)
  • Logo - Your store logo (optional, you can add it later)

The storefront link is the address people type to reach you, so pick something easy to remember, like mideskicks. Customers will visit your store at mideskicks.mafflle.store.

Full details, including the rules for choosing a link and how to change it later, are in Creating Your Store.

3. Add Your First Product

Click Add Product and fill in the details:

  • Product name - What you’re selling. Make it descriptive, like “Heavyweight Cotton T-Shirt” rather than just “Shirt”.
  • Description - A short note about the product: material, size, what it’s good for.
  • Price - How much customers pay
  • Images - At least one photo. Clear photos sell better.
  • Stock - How many units you have in hand

If you sell variations like sizes or colours, that works too. See Adding Products for variants, categories, and inventory.

4. Choose a Plan

Every new store gets a 7-day free trial. Here’s the part most people don’t expect: you pick the plan you want during the trial, and you get that plan’s full features for free for 7 days.

Pick from two plans:

  • Starter at ₦2,000/month. Up to 20 products, 3 images per product.
  • Growth at ₦5,000/month. Up to 200 products, 10 images per product, plus your own domain like myshop.com.

Want to test Growth’s bigger limits? Choose Growth for your trial and you get all of it for the 7 days, free. You won’t be charged anything during the trial, and you can cancel any time.

After the trial ends, you’ll be asked to subscribe to keep selling. Compare both plans in detail in Subscription Plans.

5. Set Up Payments

Go to Settings → Payments to choose how you receive money:

  • Paystack - Accept online payments by card, bank transfer, or USSD. Money goes straight to your bank account.
  • Pay on delivery - Customers pay when they collect or receive the order.

You can turn on both and let customers pick at checkout. Setup steps are in Setting Up Payments.

6. Share Your Store

Once payments are set up, your store is live at yourstore.mafflle.store. Share that link anywhere your customers already are, on WhatsApp, Instagram, or TikTok. Orders show up in your dashboard the moment they happen, and Managing Orders explains how to process and fulfill them.
